Today, Image / Skybound was excited to unveil a fresh take on Trover saves the universe # 1 by acclaimed author Tess Stone, based on the eponymous hit video game by Justin Roiland, co-creator of Rick and morty and CEO of Squanch Games.

This is the first comic book linked to the Trover video game series, the first issue of which will hit comic book stores in August. Readers will discover the new characters Klover and Bo as they follow them on a whole new ICJ adventure!

If you don’t know it, ICJ (Important Cosmic Jobs) is a place where employees are ranked by their boss, and at the end of each month the worst employee literally gets the ax. It’s… not a big concert. But when the ICJ’s biggest monster is dead, the company’s most inept (and rival) employees, Klover and Bo, are falsely accused of his murder and hunted down by the Space Cops!

Now Klover and Bo must erase their names and unravel a conspiracy that is reaching the top … that is, if they don’t kill each other first!

Trover saves the universe # 1 includes a main cover from Stone and a variant cover from Roiland. It will be available in comic bookstores on Wednesday, August 4. You can pre-order and buy it through our ComiXology link.
