Chrest has already appeared in ‘Stranger Things’ graphic novels

The success of Netflix Strange things extended to graphic novels and comics. As a show filled with nostalgia, the movement made sense.

Chrest character appears at Mike’s birthday party in comic book exploring kids discovering Dungeons & Dragons. Karen wheeler (Cara Buono on the show) tries to berate him for eating and leaving so quickly, but Ted encourages him to let him go.

In the world of comic adaptations, he has also appeared in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The ant Man.

Although his role in the film was not of direct comic origin, he worked for Pym Technologies (Pym Laboratories in the comics). He said he was concerned about Darren Cross’s plans for the Yellowjacket suit. Sadly, it ended with Darren killing Frank a few scenes later.

However, the Strange things the actor could return to the world of graphic novels and comics, this time in a much larger role for a Notch graphic novel.

Savino “seriously considering” a graphic novel for “The Cran”

The Notch follows failed comedian Roy (Matthew Allen Porter) and his ex, Hannah (Marlee Carpenter), facing a cult in rural Ohio, led by the mysterious Isaac (Chrest).

Speaking of Chrest in Strange things and the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the topic sparked something in Savino’s head about graphic novels.

“This conversation makes me seriously consider a Notch graphic novel, ”he laughed.

When pushed for more details, he admitted that the idea sounded exciting but might drain too many resources. However, he remained open to the idea of something smaller, like a free comic book day promotional comic release.

The director also notes that securing the actor’s likeness could also be an obstacle. If Isaac appeared in The Notch graphic novel, it would probably only appear as a silhouette.

Whether it’s a bigger or smaller project, Chrest could play a much bigger role. As the main antagonist of The Notch, his role might even see some expansion in the comic book world.

Could “The Cran” Comics Happen With Actor Villain “Stranger Things”?

While the director has ideas for a graphic novel featuring the Strange things actor, the project is probably far away.

And Savino already has his next project in the works, Fridge. The film would follow three members of the group in Florida and the mysterious disappearance of their fourth member. It also seems to cross some barriers that most blockbusters avoid.

“The four lead roles and the lead villain are all LGBT women,” Savino said, giving a little more information about the project.

Meanwhile, the first issue of the Strange things comic, Ybwen’s Tomb, released on September 29, 2021, with the full graphic novel slated for release in May 2022. It is currently unknown if Chrest’s Ted Wheeler will make another appearance.
