An outdoor book sale that started in the first year of the pandemic is back in Chilliwack for its third year.
The one-day Rotary Chilliwack Outdoor Book Sale takes place on Saturday August 27th.
The Rotary Club of Chilliwack started the first one in 2020 because they had heaps of books to sell and weren’t sure if their annual indoor sale, which takes place every October, would continue due to pandemic restrictions.
Turns out the indoor sale took place that year, but it was moved from the Chilliwack Mall to the Chilliwack Heritage Park because it’s a much bigger venue. The one-day outdoor book sale in August and the week-long indoor book sale in October have continued throughout the pandemic.
The one-day book sale returns Saturday, August 27 and runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. next to the Rotary building at 44870 Wolfe Rd.
People are asked to bring reusable bags or bins. There will be reusable shopping bags for purchase during the sale.
They accept cash (US currency at par), debit or credit.
The club asks people not to bring in used book donations for sale that day. Their book donation bins are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, outside the Rotary building on Wolfe Road, every day except Saturday, August 27.
