Love was in the air for Lucifer Season 6, with several key couples in the series receiving major storylines. However, only one of them got married before the Netflix comedy-drama aired its final episode. Luckily for the fans, it wasn’t a quick scene; Lucifer in fact devoted an entire episode to the wedding. Spoilers ahead for Lucifer Season 6.
While legions of Lucifans wanted to see Lucifer Morningstar (Tom Ellis) and Chloe Decker (Lauren German) get married, they didn’t make it to the altar. But who did it? Mazikeen (Lesley-Ann Brandt) and Eve (Inbar Lavi) were the happy couple who got married.
After deciding to tie the knot over dinner with Amenadiel (DB Woodside) and Dr Linda Martin (Rachael Harris) in episode 1 (âNothing ever changes hereâ), the couple’s marriage gets an entire episode in episode 7 (“My best The Devil’s Marriage”). It does not go without a hitch, however. Eve’s ex, Adam (Scott MacArthur), shows up to stir up trouble. (As fans will recall, Adam and Eve are the biblical Adam and Eve, the world’s first humans.) Maze is actually the one who arranges the arrival of this unwanted visitor, in an act of self-sabotage. However, it all works out in the end, and the couple prove they are meant to be (epically).
“As evolved as it has been up to this point, there’s always that ‘do I deserve this?’ Question. when it comes to Eve, âBrandt said The Envelope. âI mean, we’re so famous as human beings for messing up something really good out of fear, with our own baggage. We always enter into a relationship with our baggage, with our history, with our wounds. And her. definitely does that with Eve. I think she wanted to prove to herself that her fear was just by bringing him in.
âWhat I liked about this trio was when I first auditioned for Mazikeen and was researching graphic novels – which were very dense and big, and we take this little end of the world – there was one particular image that really stuck with me, really stood out. And that’s Maze and a character called Beatrice in Heaven. And she’s surrounded by angels – or I think it is. heaven, or that’s what they call this holy place, in the comics – and she says something like, ‘I have this fervor in me to blaspheme.’ And she grabs this girl and kisses her and throws a middle finger up. And I just remember seeing that picture and it was like, she’s such an amazing character. And so, as Adam is introduced to me, I fought from season 1 to just get this picture on our show. “
All episodes of Lucifer, including Season 6, are currently available on Netflix. Unfortunately, this is the last installment in the series, but it goes really well. Read our full season review here.
