The small library was set up by the South Side branch of Scooby Van in San Antonio, Live From The South Side and the San Antonio Oliver Foundation.

The opening festival includes a story hour with local writer Johana Hernandez, live animal interaction with Scooby Van from San Antonio, Southern Wildlife Rehab, natural scavenger hunts and educational activities by the San Antonio Oliver Foundation . Was included.

Thanks to the Hablitz family for generously donating the library and to Bobby Avila of Avidos Art for making it a work of art. The design of the library was inspired by CoCobijos, Mission San Jose’s art portal in Mission County Park.
