Heartstopper Season 2 Filming, Release Updates, Cast, And More

Heart stroke is a new British teen drama based on a graphic novel of the same name by Alice Oseman. The teen drama is likely to attract everyone who liked To all the boys I’ve loved before Where I have never. Now that a Heart stroke season 2 has been confirmed, we have been following every new information released about the upcoming second season.

Starring Joe Locke and Kit Connor, the eight-episode first season follows Charlie Spring (Locke) and Nick Nelson (Connor) who become friends while sharing the same class. But that friendship soon turns into something more as they spend time together. And while Charlie is openly gay (and has been bullied for it), Nick is barely finding out that he might not be straight.

The show was created and written by the writer of the series and based on early reviews it was expected to be a huge hit. The books were incredibly cute, heartwarming, and beautiful, and it looks like the creators incorporated those vibes into the series as well. When an author helps create a series based on their books, it’s usually a good sign.

The cast includes Joe Locke, Kit Connor, Momo Yeung, Joseph Balderrama, Sebastian Croft, Yasmin Finney, William Gao, Jenny Walser, Rhea Norwood and Fisayo Akinade. Now, without further ado, here’s everything we know about Heart stroke season 2!

Heartstopper Season 2 Filming

According to What’s on Netflix, principal photography on Heart stroke season 2 is set to begin in September 2022. It has also been reported that production will take place in London. One of the locations would be Twickenham Film Studios. A closing date is unknown at this time, but we could be looking at two months of production if we base the production schedule on the first season.

Heartstopper Season 2 Release Date Predictions

Netflix has yet to announce a release date. However, we are happy to share our release date predictions. The first season was filmed from April 2021 to June 2021. The show came out about 10 months later and if you give Netflix at least a month or two Netflix to promote the show (if they’re going to promote at all ), post-production took about eight months.

If we follow this schedule, with production on Heart stroke season 2 is expected to start in September 2022, we might be looking at a release around fall or winter 2023. If they stick with the April release date, we won’t get it until 2024. As a fan, it hurts to say.

However, we hope that the post-production process can be shortened to around six to eight months. That way we could see Heart stroke season 2 in the spring or summer of 2023. We’ll just have to wait and see.

Sahar is described as a 16-year-old teenager of British South Asian descent. Also, they are in grade 11 at Higgs High School.

We’ll likely hear more cast announcements once production begins.

What could Heartstopper season 2 be about?

The plot for season 2 has yet to be revealed. However, there have been rumors that the second season will be based on volume three of the graphic novels. The first season was based on volumes one and two, so it would make sense for the second season to be based on volume three.

Here’s the official synopsis for volume three via Amazon below:

Charlie didn’t think Nick could ever love her back, but now they’re officially boyfriends. Nick even found the courage to come out to his mother. But coming out doesn’t just happen once, and Nick and Charlie are trying to figure out when to tell their friends they’re dating. Not going out with classmates becomes even more difficult during a school trip to Paris. As Nick and Charlie’s feelings grow more serious, they will need each other more than ever.

Heartstopper season 2 episode count

The exact number of episodes is unknown at this time. However, we are expecting at least eight episodes like the first season. Maybe the teen series will get two more episodes. Crossed fingers!
